On the Water
Who doesn't enjoy getting out on the water in our beautiful part of the world?
The Strait of Georgia has a rich, diverse ecosystem! It's a wonderful place to learn about the marine environment and to enjoy all our favorite forms of marine recreation -- boating, paddling, diving, swimming, fishing and much, much more.
But if we're not careful, we can "love these waters to death". Parks Canada has called the Strait of Georgia "Canada's most at-risk natural environment". With our growing population and the pressures this brings, we need to practice careful stewardship to protect these waters and the life they hold.
