Pesticides: Use and Impacts
Though pesticides are sometimes a fast way to get rid of ‘pests’, they can endanger the health of the environment and our own families.
Pesticides can contain ingredients that lead to cancer and hormone disruption, and are a risk to young children and pets.
They can also leach into the soil and end up in our rivers and streams -and from there, eventually into the ocean -- with serious impacts on wildlife.
